Microsoft SQL Server(MSSQL server) is a relational database management system developed by Microsoft. MS SQL server is commonly used with Classic ASP and ASP.NET. There are many different versions of SQL server and most ASP.NET hosting companies support different versions of SQL server. Hosting control panels have integrated tools to manage MS SQL databases. Unfortunately some windows hosting companies do not offer a web interface for MSSQL database administration. Customers using an MSSQL database will need to connect to the MSSQL server using third party software.
