So, title says most of it , i bought a Neewer Nw-700 condenser microphone and I was getting a lot of static / low volume in windows 10 from the XLR to 3.5mm cable setup that came with the mic. So, I thought that adding some power to the mic via XLR to USB might fix that problem, so I ordered an XLR to USB cord off of amazon. Well, tonight when i tried it out for the first time, nothing worked. I tried everything I can think of, and it comes up as 'USB PnP Sound Device' and it registers that it's a microphone. When I opened up FLStudio and started fiddling with the ASIO4ALL audio settings I could get the mic to pic up me tapping on it just barely. The audio was so low that it could just barely pick up me banging on the mic, but not even close to being able to hear my voice. Any suggestions? I'm really at a loss here.

The US-2×2’s all-aluminium case features a pair of “bio-cell” side panels.
