Visual Studio for Mac Os x. If you are familiar with Visual Studio IDE for Microsoft Windows, Visual Studio Code is a totally different program. Equally as important, make it free. I don't mean 'free' like the Community Edition with its restrictions that make it illegal to use at work. I mean free, with no strings attached.

I'm looking for a relatively popular (well documented, important user base) IDE for Mac. Of course, I want to have the best IDE as possible. However, the most important thing is that it is highly compatible/similar to Visual Studio. I will probably also have to use libraries that work with Visual Studio. I work in a team where I am the only one on Mac... and I don't want to install Windows or a Virtual Machine or anything like that, I don't want to slow down my computer.

Also, it has to be free, or free for students or inexpensive. Visual Studio Code is not an option, also I don't want to compile manually... Let me know if you have any suggestion, for now I'm considering Eclipse, XCode and CLion. Thanks!
