Well, you shouldn't use it in FCP...you should edit ProRes and then export as Cineform. It won't just 'show up' in FCP or as a preset in Compressor. What you have to do is apply a preset, like a ProRes one, and modify it, then save it as a new preset. The Cineform codec is listed, but you have to go into the ENCODER part of the INSPECTOR, then click on VIDEO: SETTINGS and find it there...like this:

So convert to ProRes, edit, export a Reference QT, or Send to Compressor...and compress to Cineform.
